PIONEER CREMATORIUM BOUNDARY WALL

At the Bi-Annual general meeting it was agreed to partner with the Muslim community and build a boundary wall at Pioneer Crematorium that would ring fence the Hindu Cremation centre and Muslim burial plot.

The construction of the boundary wall was necessitated by the ongoing vandalism of the cemetery and activity of vagrants who frequented and stayed on site. The boundary wall will extend up to Mbare Police station and when complete will cover a perimeter length of approximately 550 metres.

Good progress has been made with the construction of the wall as shown in the pictures below. The wall will provide the much-needed security and will allow for improvements to be made in the future to the aesthetics and buildings in the enclosed area. In addition, a borehole has been sunk and shall be commissioned next year once the wall is complete.
